We all made it safely to Cebu! After coordinating about seven different itineraries (including Andrew who flew stand-by) we all ended up at the cheerful Mayflower Inn. Jenny (the in-country coordinator of our particular project with Rise Above Foundation and our pseudo-"mama" while we're here) met us all at the airport and joined us for lunch at the inn. We settled into our rooms, had a quick walk around our new neighbourhood, and then met back at the hotel with Jenny and Elisabet for an orientation chat about the do's and don'ts of the Philippines.
Finished the day off with a really nice dinner out with our new team and decided to head to bed early when a couple of us fell asleep at the dinner table! :)
More tomorrow when we're a little less sleepy!
